HC Deb 18 March 1986 vol 94 c97W
Mr. Gareth Wardell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report for the latest year for which information is available for each right hon. and hon. Member, the arithmetic mean in days his Department took to reply to letters.

Mr. Brooke

The information in the form requested is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. However, in the last quarter of 1985 the arithmetic mean for replies by Treasury Ministers to letters from right hon. and hon. Members was 16 working days.
