None.

Mr. Latham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what reports he has received from Her Majesty's ambassadors in Morocco and Israel about the announcement of King Hassan on 22 January that he was taking charge of the protection of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem; and what message he has instructed to be conveyed to King Hassan about these proposals.

Mr. Eggar

We are aware of press reports that King Hassan had offered to send 150 Moroccan volunteers to Jerusalem to guard and protect the Al-Aqsa mosque. No message has been conveyed to King Hassan about this.
