§ Mr. NewtonCopies of the papers on the proposals to amend the single payment regulations which have been sent to the Social Security Advisory Committee—including the draft regulations—were placed in the Library on 24 February 1986. On the same day a copy was also sent, for information, to all the Department's local offices under cover of a letter numbered RD/LO 4/86. It is not the Department's practice to publish such internal communications.
Following the Government's consideration of any comments the Social Security Advisory Committee may make on the proposals and the laying of amending regulations before Parliament, guidance on them will be issued to local adjudication officers in an S circular, a copy of which will be placed in the Library.
