§ Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he intends to reply to the appeal under section 68 of the Education Act 1944 made by the National Deaf Children's Society in July 1985.
§ Mr. Chris PattenThe National Deaf Children's Society wrote in support of three of the young people referred to in my earlier reply today to the right hon. Member. The Department's interim response on behalf of my right hon. Friend indicated that the eventual reply would in part depend upon the outcome of his consideration of the individual complaints. A reply will be sent as soon as possible.
