§ Mrs. RumboldIn October 1985 there was a leakage of tributyltin and dieldrin from a timber treatment tank into the Newmill Channel, a tributary of the River Rother. Prompt action by the Southern water authority contained the spillage, and none entered the River Rother until it had been diluted very considerably. No adverse effect was observed in the River Rother.
