§ Mr. Peter MorrisonBSC (Industry) Ltd. is continuing to perform the role for which it was set up in 1975; that is helping to create jobs in steel closure areas. It operates in 18 "Opportunity Areas", and has helped more than 2,000 businesses since 1975. These businesses are committed to creating some 50,000 jobs by March 1987, of which about 30,000 are already in place. BSC (Industry) Ltd. became financially self-sufficient in April 1984.
