§ 34. Mr. Cyril D. Townsendasked the Secretary of State for Defence what progress is being made in selling Tornado aircraft to United Kingdom North Atlantic Treaty Organisation partners.
§ Mr. Norman LamontPanavia and the individual Tornado partners continue to pursue actively not only NATO but also world markets for Tornado aircraft. To date 80 Tornados have been sold, 72 to Saudi Arabia and eight to Oman, and potential sales are currently being promoted both in Europe and elsewhere.
