§ Mr. BiffenThe total floor area of the Palace of Westminster is approximately 790,000 sq ft. An approximate division between the two Houses is 530,000 sq ft for the House of Commons and 260,000 sq ft for the House of Lords. Precise figures could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
