asked the Secretary of State for Energy what proposals he has received or he now expects to receive from the National Coal Board in respect of changes in mining practice which will require changes in current regulations.

Proposals for new safety regulations are the responsibility of the Health and Safety Commission. Any such proposals are subject to an extensive process of consultation with all interested parties.
