§ Mr. John PattenI hope to discuss with him and the chairman of the Association of District Councils' housing and environmental health committee in the near future the additional allocations my Department is making available for capital schemes devised by local authorities in conjunction with the urban housing renewal unit; and to have a meeting with him and other representatives of the local authority associations about their proposals for reducing the level of rent arrears among their tenants.
