§ Mr. Frank Fieldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will detail the value of mortgage interest relief at the latest available date, giving the average relief per mortgagor, the numbers claiming relief, the total value of relief and the total number of taxpayers per income range for those with incomes under £3,000, £3,000 to £5,000, £5,000 to £7,500, £7,500 to £10,000, £10,000 to £15,000, £15,000 to £20,000, £20,000 to £25,000 and above £25,000.
