§ The Prime MinisterI refer the hon. Member to the reply given to him by my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the member for Mid-Sussex (Mr. Renton) on 5 March, at column174, and to the statement on the Philippines by my hon. Friend on 26 February at column 945. Her Majesty's ambassador in Manila, Mr. McLaren, called on Mrs. Aquino on 27 February to convey my congratulations on her becoming President.
