§ Mr. NewtonThe Government's wide-ranging review of social security took account of this subject. In our Green and White Papers we put forward proposals for major structural reforms to the social security scheme: matters of detail will require further consideration. The relevant regulations, under the Social Security Bill presently before the House, will be subject to debate in the usual way.
