§ Sir Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether there are items of information which his Department does not provide on request to objectors to trunk road proposals in Scotland which are provided on request to objectors to trunk road schemes in England and Wales after publication of a line order.
§ Mr. Ancram[pursuant to his reply, 19 February 1986, c. 189–90]: My understanding is that, broadly speaking, the information provided on request by the Scottish Development Department is very similar to that provided in England and Wales. However, each request is considered individually on its merits, having regard to the cost and the need to prevent unnecessary blight.
