HC Deb 04 March 1986 vol 93 c75W
Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many representations he has received from bodies representing industry, local government, religious organisations, voluntary bodies or private individuals concerning the Government's proposals to abolish restrictions on Sunday trading in Wales; how many were in favour; and how many against.

Mr. Mark Robinson

I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply to his earlier question on this subject given by my right hon. Friend on 13 February, at column508. Since then my right hon. Friend has received two more representations from religious organisations and five more from private individuals. All 83 representations received and both petitions opposed the Government's proposals. Records of representations sent to individual hon. Members are not kept by the Department.
