asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about educational representation within the area manpower boards of the Manpower Services Commission.

Appointments to the area manpower boards are made by the Manpower Services Commission. Each of the area manpower boards includes amongst its members a representative of the education service, usually a chief education officer, and a representative of professional education interests, normally a college principal.
