§ Mr. Chris PattenMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science has quarterly meetings with the chairman of the Manpower Services Commission to discuss its role and activities. The agenda for the next 115W meeting—due on 26 March—has yet to be agreed. In addition, there are other meetings between the Department and the commission at various levels, including my own, to discuss particular issues as they arise and in the course of co-operation on joint initiatives.
