§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the successful treatment by acupuncture now being given to drug addicts in the Liverpool area, he will seek to make this method of treatment more widely available to addicts.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe Department does not prescribe treatment approaches. It is for health authorities and practitioners in the field to consider whether they wish to incorporate treatment by acupuncture into their services for drug misusers.
