§ Mr. WaddingtonI understand that only two pilot projects under the comprehensive community programme were actually started—in Bradford and Gateshead—and that they became 'mainstream' projects under the urban programme when responsibility for urban deprivation was transferred from the Home Office to the Department of the Environment in June 1977. I regret that I have no information about the results of either of these projects and that it is not now possible to estimate their total cost.
