§ Mr. RaisonIn 1985 gross bilateral aid disbursements to sub-Saharan Africa totalled £285 million. The amounts to individual countries are as shown. In addition, substantial British aid funds are channelled through multilateral aid agencies and the European Community to support long-term development and disaster relief in Africa.
