§ Mr. Lee[pursuant to his reply, 23 June 1986, c. 26]: We insist on the maximum use of competition at subcontractor level and we monitor contracts to ensure that this is effectively achieved. We also plan to go to competitive tender for future torpedo production orders, starting with Spearfish which is now under development.
