§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, the hon. Member for Enfield, North (Mr. Eggar) will make a statement on his recent visit to Spain.
§ Mr. EggarI paid an official visit to Spain from 15 to 19 June. I visited Malaga, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca. During the visit I saw our consular operations in action at first hand; looked at the problems faced by British tourists and held discussions with Senor Barrionueve, the Interior Minister. I also met with a wide range of central and local government officials, tour operators, British tourists and residents.
