§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to the answer of 29 October 1985, Official Report, column 386, concerning guidance on polychlorinated biphenyl wastes, when he now expects to publish revised guidance.
§ Mrs. RumboldWork on an extended and updated version of Waste Mangement Paper No. 6 on polychlorinated biphenyl wastes is continuing. Much information is available and proper assessment of it is proving to be a lengthy process. Consultation with interested bodies is also necessary. For these reasons, and because of other commitments, publication of the revised guidance is not now likley before the end of this year.
