§ Mr. MellorThe available information relates to proceedings completed at magistrates' courts during the week ending 24 to 29 June 1985. The average time between date of offence and completion of proceedings in magistrates' courts was 18 weeks for all summary motoring offences and 13 weeks for offences relating to driving while under the influence of drink or drugs. Information is not separately available for offences arising from accidents.
