§ Sir George YoungYes. The two urban development corporations have together succeeded in attracting over billion in private sector investment commitments to their areas since their creation in 1981. Details of the achievements of the two corporations are set out on pages 161 and 162 of volume II of "The Government's Expenditure Plans 1986–87 to 1988–89" (Cmnd. 9702–11) and in the annual reports of the bodies themselves.
