§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to the answer of 30 October 1985, Official Report, column 546, and in view of continued reports of ill health of farmers, farm workers and their families, if he will undertake systematic epidemiological investigations.
§ Mr. John MacKayWork is proceeding to implement the recommendations of the Independent Review Group chaired by Professor Lenihan, which examined features of morbidity recorded in the Bonnybridge/Denny area. All the further studies which were recommended are now being undertaken. I do not consider that additional epidemiological investigation is called for at this stage.
