§ Sir George YoungMy Department is presently consulting the local authority associations and other interested groups on our proposals for revising the expenditure limit for reinstatement works attracting grant under the housing defects legislation. Our proposals are for a four-tier limit, according to likely difficulty of repair, as follows:

§ Sir George YoungTo date we have received representations from two local authorities concerning the proposed reduction of the housing defects eligible expenditure limit (from £14,000 to £12,000) for the Cornish unit type with one storey PRC elements.
