HC Deb 25 June 1986 vol 100 c226W
47. Mr. David Atkinson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has received any representations on the sale of non-sheltered council dwellings for the elderly under the right-to-buy provisions.

Sir George Young

Since the present arrangements for excluding non-sheltered elderly persons' dwellings from the right to buy came into force in August 1984, representations have been received from 20 Members of Parliament, 23 local authorities, the Association of District Councils, the Institute of Housing and the National Housing and Town Planning Council.
