HC Deb 25 June 1986 vol 100 c219W
21. Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what planning applications for developments at Canary wharf are currently awaiting a decision by his Department.

Sir George Young

My Department has one planning appeal before it at the moment, relating to land known as Wood wharf.

25. Mr. Maples

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he intends to meet the chairman of the London Docklands Development Corporation to discuss the proposed development of Canary wharf.

Sir George Young

The Secretary of State has no firm plans at present for a meeting with the chairman of the LDDC specifically to discuss these proposals. They are, however, the subject of regular liaison meetings between my Department and senior officers of the corporation.
