§ Mrs. ChalkerMy right hon. and learned Friend announced the decision to introduce a ban on imports of all gold coins from South Africa in a written reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Richmond and Barnes (Mr. Hanley) on 23 May. The ban came into effect at midnight the same day.
