§ Mr. Giles ShawIt is primarily for local authorities to consider the training needs of their emergency planning officers. General advice on natural disasters is given in section 23 of the emergency planning guidance to local authorities, and many of the courses available at the Civil Defence College have considerable relevance to the problems caused by peacetime emergencies.
