§ Mr. BrookeThe latest forecast for inflation was given in the Budget statement and produced a figure of 3½ per cent. for 1986. The rates in the fourth quarters of 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1978 were 25.3 per cent., 14.9 per cent., 13.1 per cent. and 8.1 per cent., respectively.
