§ Mr. Sedgemoreasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why Anwara Begum of 76 Clifden road, E.5, was removed from the United Kingdom before his Department had replied to letters on the case from the hon. Member for Hackney, South and Shoreditch, dated 21 May and 11 June; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WaddingtonI regret that following the receipt of written representations from the hon. Member the instruction to the immigration service to cancel the removal directions in this case was not implemented. Inquiries are being made into why this occurred and I will write to the hon. Member.
