§ Mr. Andrew Bowdenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to complete his review of the 14,000 expenditure limit for repairs to property under the Housing Defects Act 1984.
§ Sir George YoungMy hon. Friend the Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs and Construction announced on 3 June the Government's proposals for revising the expenditure limit for repairs under the housing defects legislation. My Department is currently consulting local authority associations and other interested bodies on those proposals, with a view to bringing new limits into force by the end of August.
