§ Mr. Allen Adamsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many houses it is estimated will be constructed or improved as a result of the scheme whereby local authorities can transfer funds from Block B to the Housing Corporation.
§ Mr. AncramIt is for local authorities which wish to take advantage of the option to transfer resources from their non-HRA allocations to the Housing Corporation to seek the agreement of the Scottish Development Department. Any such applications will be carefully considered. I cannot predict how many authorities will seek to transfer funds or on what scale.
