HC Deb 16 June 1986 vol 99 cc448-9W
Mr. Ashley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many applications for vaccine damage payments have been rejected on the grounds that they were made after the expiry date.

Mr. Whitney

At 30 May 1986, the latest date for which information is available, 49 claims were rejected because the claim was made outside the six-year time limit laid down by the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979.
