§ Mr. Allen McKayasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to conclude his consultations on recommendations on the McColl report and to reach a decision as to which recommendations to implement; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. NewtonInterested bodies were invited to comment on the recommendations in the McColl report by 30 April 1986. To date about 50 responses have been received, and these are being considered. I asked the National Health Service Management Board to report on the major issues raised by the report by the middle of the year. I hope to he able to announce decisions on these major issues before the summer recess.
