asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on the future of Cornwall's geothermal project.

The project being carried out by the Camborne School of Mines at Rosemanowes quarry in Cornwall has been extended for a further two years starting in October 1986 at a cost of £5.85 million and will include work on the existing hot dry rock reservoir, measurement techniques, geophysics and heat flow. Other related work will cost a further £1 million.
