asked the Secretary of State for Energy what is the saving to date to the electricity supply industry in fuel costs arising from the recent fall in the cost of oil.

Mr. Goodlad

The cost or fuel used in the first two months of the present financial year is estimated by the CEGB at about £60 million less than envisaged when the bulk supply tariff for the year was drawn up.
