§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are the estimated costs to his Department of carrying out the accepted recommendations of Select Committee reports for the year March 1985 to March 1986.
§ Mr. Jopling[pursuant to his reply, 10 June 1986, c. 132]: The main recommendations of the sixth report of the Agriculture Committee (1984–85) which I accepted bear on considerations which have underlain and will continue to underlie agricultural policies pursued by my Department. The total cost of carrying out the work involved is not something which can be separately identified.
