Mr. Phillip Oppenheim

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his estimate of the amount of Government support per ratepayer in 1986–87 in Derbyshire; and if he will give equivalent figures for Surrey, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Gloucestershire.

2. Aggregate Exchequer Grant consists of Block Grant (the Department's initial estimates of entitlements prior to the first Rate Support Grant Supplementary Report), Domestic Rate Relief Grant and Transport Supplementary Grant as given in the Rate Support Grant Settlement Report, and specific grants as reported by authorities in their 1986–87 budget returns.
