§ Mr. Phillip Oppenheimasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on the progress of the privatisation of Leyland Bus.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonOn 11 June BL informed the parties which have expressed interest in acquiring Leyland Bus that it would invite offers from them for the entire business on the basis of a tender procedure. The parties concerned are the Laird Group, Aveling Barford and a Leyland Bus Management Consoritum, Tenders are to be delivered to BL's advisers, Hill Samuel and Co. Ltd., by 26 June 1986. The BL board will then consider them and will submit a recommendation as soon as possible to Her Majesty's Government as the majority shareholder.
