To enter and inspect any place, building or aircraft (except premises being used as a dwelling place at the time of the proposed entry) in connection with accident investigation. Section 9 of the Civil Aviation (Investigation of Accidents) Regulations 1983 (SI 1983 No. 551). Twenty-eight Inspectors of Accidents.
To enter aircraft or any land, buildings or works at aerodromes in connection with aviation security. Section 20 of the Aviation Security Act 1982. Three Aviation Security Advisers.
To enter premises on which there is reason to believe a public service vehicle or goods vehicle is kept and to enter and inspect the vehicle. Section 56(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1982 (as amended by Schedule 3 of the Transport Act 1978); and Section 8 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981. A maximum of 679 officials of the Vehicle Inspectorate are or may be so authorised, as are 235 Traffic Examiners.

Report, column 42, what are the quantitative restrictions against the import of Japanese vehicles which exist in Spain and Portugal which the EEC allowed to continue; and for how long these will be allowed to continue.
