§ Mr. TraceyHer Majesty's Government remain committed to the Gleneagles agreement. We discourage sporting contacts with South Africa and, should any take place, ensure that no public funds are used in their support. We recognise, however, that it must be for the governing bodies of sport and individual sportsmen and women to decide whether or not to participate in any such contacts.
