HC Deb 09 June 1986 vol 99 c85W
Mr. Terry Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what qualifications are required for persons intending to practice chiropody.

Mr. Hayhoe

Only those wishing to practise chiropody in the National Health Service require a qualification. This is that they must satisfy the registration requirements laid down by the Chiropodists Board of the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine. Currently the only qualification accepted for state registration is the three-year diploma course of the Society of Chiropodists.
