§ Mr. Peter BottomleyA bypass for Clapham was added to the roads programme in 1985 for construction in the period for 1989 onwards. The next step will be to appoint consulting engineers for the scheme following a fee competition announced on 4 June. The scheme is expected to cost about £4.5 million at November 1983 prices. There are no plans for a bypass of Milton Ernest.
