§ Mr. LeeOur intention is that small arms requirements in the period in question will wherever practicable be open to competition, and this is expected to encompass the bulk of such purchases. With regard to small arms ammunition for 1986–87 I have nothing to add to my answer of 16 May 1986, at column 565. Future decisions will be taken and announced in due course.
