Whether clarification can be given concerning the future of the Nurses Welfare Service and what changes if any are contemplated or have already been made.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health and Social Security (Baroness Trumpington)The Nurses Welfare Service is an autonomous voluntary body administered by a small group of trustees. The future of the Trust is therefore a matter for them, but I understand that the Royal College of Nursing has recently agreed to take on the financial management of the trust.
