asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list in the Official Report the date and nature of terrorist incidents in the United Kingdom, showing Northern Ireland separately for each of the last three years.

[pursuant to his reply, 27 March 1986, c. 541]: Statistics of terrorist incidents which occurred in Great Britain in the years 1983–85 are as follows. These do not include incidents apparently caused by extremist nationalist or anarchist groups based in Great Britain, or by extremist animal rights activists.

Statistics of terrorist activity in Northern Ireland in the years 1971 to 1985 were given by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in reply to a question from the hon. Member for Kingston upon Hull, North (Mr. McNamara) on 27 February 1986, at columns 636–42.
