§ Mr. Chris PattenThe Government firmly believe that sex education is an essential curricular element in preparing pupils for the realities and responsibilities of adult life. Last year's White Paper "Better Schools" made clear that the Government expect to see sex education being taught within a moral framework which is supportive of family life.
